Horizon Europe, the EU’s €95.5 billion research and innovation program, running from 2021 to 2027, is committed to supporting efforts toward climate neutrality, digital transformation, and a competitive economy.
We are experts in Pillar II
Horizon Europe is made up of three pillars:

Pillar I - Excellent Science: supports research-focused applicants to advance high-quality research in a bottom-up approach, allowing them to propose their own ideas.

Pillar II - Global challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness: funds large cross-collaborations to address significant societal challenges identified by “Cluster Areas”. The EU defines a specific problem to be solved in a top-down approach to align with long-term policy goals.

Pillar III - Innovative Europe: targets innovation-driven businesses, like start-ups and SMEs, to foster breakthrough innovations that can have a global impact. Pillar III is, like Pillar I, a bottom-up approach building on the idea, rather that solving the problem.​​​
Due to our historical engagement in collaborative research and support in projects at an early development stage, our main focus is on Pillar II of the funding program.

Horizon Europe mission calls
Unlike the broader focus of Pillar II, EU Missions are specific, goal-oriented, and time-bound initiatives with measurable targets to be achieved by 2030. They align with major EU Commission initiatives like the European Green Deal and the Beating Cancer Plan, setting ambitious goals and promoting innovative solutions.
Our expertise in EU-funded projects helps us understand the EU Commission’s requirements, align proposals with mission goals, and improve our chances of securing funding.
